Frances Mallon, 82 – Member since 1999<\/strong><\/p>\n

December 22, 1943 to March 7, 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

Fran Mallon passed away peacefully at her winter home on Grand Cayman, on March 7, 2026.\u00a0 Despite living for several years with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), Fran remained actively involved with her family and community facing her illness with remarkable courage and strength. Fran and her husband Ed have been PYC members since March, 1999. We have been fortunate to have Fran contribute her artistic talents to PYC. (Obituary)<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Addison L Marvin, Jr, 90\u00a0 – Member since 1986<\/strong><\/p>\n

June 20, 1935 to November 3, 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n

Past Commodore and Life Member Addison “Marv” Marvin passed away on November 3 at his home in Vero Beach, FL. Marv and his late wife Carol joined PYC in 1986. Marv “went through the flags” culminating with serving as Commodore in 1991. Marv and Carol enjoyed boating on the Sam-C <\/em>which they\u00a0 kept in a PYC Slip. They moved to Florida in retirement. (Obituary<\/a><\/em>).<\/p>\n

PC Paul<\/strong> Goldberg,\u00a0 82 – Member since 1997<\/strong><\/p>\n

April 15, 1942 – February 9, 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n

Past Commodore and Life Member Paul Goldberg passed away on February 9, 2025. Paul and his wife Mary Beth have been members since 1997.\u00a0 He was an accomplished sailor and racer participating in both the Newport to Bermuda and the Marion to Bermuda sailing races where he won the Commodore’s Cup in 1999. PC Bob Philbrook, 96 – Member since 1975<\/strong><\/p>\n

1928 – January 14, 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n

Past Commodore and Life Member Bob Philbrook passed away on January 14th. Bob and his late wife Charlotte had been PYC members since 1975, and Bob served as Commodore in 1986. Bob and Charlotte will be interred at the Veteran\u2019s Cemetery in Boscawen, NH in a private family service. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. (Obituary)<\/a><\/p>\n

Darlene Alonzo, 90 – Former Member<\/strong><\/p>\n

September 13, 1934 – December 27, 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n

Former member Darlene Alonzo died peacefully on December 27, at the age of 90 years old. Darlene had enjoyed Christmas with her sons and their families. After a wonderful celebration she passed in her sleep.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Roy Alonzo, 95 – Former member<\/strong><\/p>\n

July 18, 1929 – October 2, 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n

Roy Alonzo passed away on October 2 at the age of 95. Roy and his wife Darlene were dedicated PYC members from 1982-2018.\u00a0 Both were very involved in club activities, and Roy enjoyed sailing Amazing<\/em> for many years. At this time, the family has chosen to not publish an obituary, however they welcome you to visit the Facebook group “Remembering Roy Alonzo<\/a>” celebrating Roy’s life.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Jane Kilcoyne, 89 – Former member<\/strong><\/p>\n

July 25, 1935 – August 7, 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jane Kilcoyne passed away on August 7, 2024 . Jane and her late husband Jim joined PYC in 2000. Jim passed away in 2021. Jane remained a PYC member through the 2023 season. Jane will be remembered for her kindness, energy, and enthusiasm. She was a strong supporter of women’s rights and a champion for equality, leaving behind a legacy of advocacy and compassion. Nov. 27, 1938 – May 5, 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n

PYC member Bob Baime passed away on May 5, 2014, at the age of 85.\u00a0 Bob and his wife Carlene have been PYC members since 2014. The family’s Bristol 41 Moonfleet <\/em>carried them on legendary trips through the Bahamas and the Caribbean, along the Maine Coast and, triumphantly, carried Bob and his crew across the Atlantic Ocean during the ARC race. Life Member Mary Lou passed away on December 16. Mary Lou and her late husband Glen had been PYC members sine 1992. Before moving to Freedom, NH in retirement, Mary Lou was very active in attending and volunteering at club activities. (Obituary<\/a>)<\/em><\/p>\n

Former Portsmouth Yacht Club member Jack Myles passed away on November 27, 2023 at his home in Vero Beach, Florida. Jack, who resigned in 2014,\u00a0 is the father of PYC member Bud Myles and grandfather of former staff member Camden Myles. Portsmouth Yacht Club\u00a0member Bob Stewart passed away suddenly at the age of 91. Bob and his wife Davia joined PYC in 2009.\u00a0 An avid sailor, Bob was a veteran of countless Bermuda, Halifax, and international offshore races as well as numerous deliveries.\u00a0Scuttlebutt .com<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n

Paul Holloway, a Portsmouth Yacht Club member since 1988, passed away after a period of declining health.\u00a0 He had a dynamic personality that attracted a wide circle of friends, many of whom he considered family. Married for 52 years, some of their happiest times together have been spent sailing\u2014around New England and as far away as the Caribbean and Newfoundland, on their J44 Sedna.
