Greetings to my fellow PYC members --
I am running for the board and thought it might make sense to follow the lead of one of my fellow candidates and tell you a bit about myself before this week's annual meeting/election.  I hope to see you there -- and hope you'll cast a vote for me.

I am running for the Board because I want to see the PYC continue to prosper and believe that my professional background in finance and my personal background in boating would be helpful in achieving that end. 

 

 

My wife Dale and I became members in 2004 after several years on the waiting list.  During that entire period, we have been active in many of the regularly scheduled club functions, including dinners, special functions, the auctions, Docks In, and Docks Out. We have also helped several other members prepare and serve their specialty meals, the last one being the Kinser Southern BBQ.  

 

 

Dale and I both treasure our membership in the PYC.  We have a number of good friends at the Club, and continue to expand that number.  We enjoy the eclectic mix of the membership, and are interested in preserving the traditions of the past while encouraging admission of new members who will be active volunteers in support of the Club. 

 

I have been an avid boater all my life. This year, since I have a slip at the PYC, I've spent more time at the Club and learned more about the work required to maintain the Club and to provide all the amenities we members enjoy.

 

My personal history includes a BS from Carnegie Mellon University and an MBA from M.I.T.  I have worked at a number of large corporations over the years, primarily in the field of financial analysis and control, and currently operate a modest manufacturing business from my home.  I also am currently Vice-Chairman of the Zoning Board of Adjustment in my hometown of Hampton Falls, NH.
