were brought up in past board meetings.</span><span style="font-size:14pt">
</span><span style="font-size:14pt">I am of the belief that it should not be the role of the Board of Directors
to push things down the road until someone effectively forces our hand.</span><br></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 10pt;line-height:115%;font-size:11pt;font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:14pt;line-height:115%">In our last meeting I recall opening up discussion on the
consideration of if the only issue with naming Freida as the next Steward was a financial one, and if we should explore negotiating with her to see if we
could come to an agreement prior to opening up the position. After discussion,
it was determined that the <i>board</i> wanted
to proceed with a search.<span> </span>While I may not
have been in agreement with that decision (as noted by my vote at the time) it
was the <i>Board\u2019s</i> decision, and as such
should be supported.<span></span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 10pt;line-height:115%;font-size:11pt;font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:14pt;line-height:115%">This has nothing to do with my opinion of Jerry or with how
suited I believe Freida is for this role \u2013 I believe I have made that
abundantly clear at previous meetings.<span>
</span>My concern is that we have become reactionary<b> </b>in our decision making (or
lack thereof) and are effectively letting the staff of the club dictate far too
many decisions for us (conceding to unrealistic ultimatums for increased pay, adding
qualifiers to retirements based on who we choose to succeed, etc\u2026).<span></span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 10pt;line-height:115%;font-size:11pt;font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:14pt;line-height:115%">In terms of the decision to bring on Freida, I am very much
in support of her as the next Steward of the club. <span></span></span></p>
