Going with a good vinyl is probably better for wear in the long term but I like the looks of carpet better. Where is the fading and wear happening, right by the door? Maybe a combination of vinyl or tile (if the floor is sturdy enough for tile and won't crack)
2'-3' out at the entrance and the rest is carpet? And we still have runner because of all the rocks.</div>
