<p>I am sorry for not responding earlier but I have been on the road
since this morning. <br>
</p>
<p>My GUESS is that this situation arose from behavior strongly
influenced by alcohol. From what I have assessed from the
comments, I also believe that there was no ill intent directed at
the members or the PYC in this incident, only a lack of
responsibility brought on by overindulgence. This lack of
responsibility and the actions that resulted, however, can not be
tolerated within the PYC membership.<br>
</p>
<p>My thoughts are that:</p>
<p>We try to keep this from going public as such exposure would only
reflect poorly on the PYC in the long run. It might also legally
complicate the situation far more than it needs to be. This is an
internal issue as we are dealing with a member hence should be
handled internally. (This assumes that it is a member; a fact
that must be validated completely.)<br>
</p>
<p>We should truly consider Roy's comments and determine if there
are indeed extenuating circumstances that suggest a need for
compassion in this situation. <br>
</p>
<p>I do think immediate restitution and resignation are appropriate
and necessary. If the member's personal situation changes then we
can consider a possible future reinstatement within the context of
the reinstatement process as defined in the constitution.</p>

into this email I want to stress
it is for your eyes only at this
moment. This morning there was
a broken window in the kitchen
door. Question was how did that
happen, but the morning
progressed. Jerry went to the
security footage and looked to
see what happened and discovered
that this was a break in with a
lot of footage of the person
that broke the window. We have
around 5 or more minutes of
excellent footage of our visitor
walking in and out of the
kitchen with excellent facial
recognition along with the car
in our parking lot. This person
opened the refrigerator walked
around broke into the liquor
cabinet \u2013 stole liquor purchased
for the Kentucky Derby Party on
Saturday and then left.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

predicament \u2013 this was a very
inebriated member of the club.
The police were contacted \u2013 this
is misdemeanor theft, not a
felony as all members of our
club are allowed to enter the
premise at any time with a key.
We need to know if we want to
prosecute \u2013 do we want the
police to attain a search
warrant (one bottle of liquor
was found at the bottom of the
members driveway partly empty) \u2013
do we want the police to just
talk to this person \u2026and the
options go on and on. If the
police go to the house and talk
to this person they will never
be allowed to be anywhere near
our property as part of their
probation.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
