Thank you for sharing your friends information.   Seems like we are on the same page.

 

Soni has handled the notification of the attendees of the Opening event.  We were quite late on this, but better late than not at all.

Hi Whit, 

  I agree with your new policies.  I did just receive a letter (early this morning) from one of our senior PYC members however.  She has hosted many PYC events during past years. 

  I'm simply pasting a portion of this letter here, as it makes sense (and is similar to your new policies being published tomorrow):

"We had friends that came to dinner last night, and told us of another member that has tested positive (that was at the opening PYC event).  We also feel that the BOD has an obligation to send out an email (immediately) to all about the outbreak, so that people can take appropriate action. 

  We tested ourselves this morning (and are negative)"

Greetings BOD;

 

I have decided that I will send out a PYC Update tomorrow.  The update will have descriptions of two PYC Policies.

 

1)      After consultation with Roger and others I have decided that we should follow the following COVID policy moving forward:

 

COVID Policy:

 

1)      Masks are optional if you have been vaccinated.  Masks are required to be worn if you have not been vaccinated.

2)      If you have been exposed to COVID less than 5-7 days prior or have cold symptoms do not attend events or meetings at PYC.

3)      If a member/guest is later determined to have had COVID and exposed others at a meeting it is the responsibility of the Host to notify the attendees that they may have been exposed to COVID at the meeting or event.

4)      An effort will be made by the staff to provide PYC members a clean environment.

 

Parking Policy:

 

2)      I will re-send the parking lot descriptions I sent out last spring to refresh people’s memories and inform new members, cover the long term parking possibilities at the Commons etc.

 

Note:  In accordance with the COVID Policy we will notify all attendees of the Opening Event that 5 members have reported they have COVID.   Those who attended should limit exposure to other people for the suggested 5day period.

 

If anyone as suggestions please let me know.
