[Board] Observation regarding the Special Meeting 9/28

Hello all,

I have Jill Jarvis' the application for membership, which I received October 1, 2010.  As Whit mentioned, she was invited to become a member in November of 2011.  Jill was sponsored by Janet Taylor and William Smith.  There is no mention by her or her sponsors of her parents being members, and I have found no evidence that they were.

Jill wrote in her application: "PYC is part of the New Castle community, particularly for those of us living nearby.  I know that I will enjoy partaking in the social activities.  I grew up in New Castle and will likely live here the rest of my life and want to be part of the neighborhood yacht club."

Janet Taylor wrote:  "I have known Jill and her family all of her li8fe.  She has a very outgoing personality and has the ability and interest in becoming an active member of the Portsmouth Yacht Club.  I feel she will be an asset to the membership of PYC."

Will Smith wrote:  "Jill has long ties to the seacoast.  She is active in her college alumni group, and is in the business of managing real estate, which requires initiative and judgement.  In a social environment, she is charming and outgoing.  We believe she will have the interest, time, and skills to be a real asset to PYC."

On June 18, 2012, Jill wrote a letter to Commodore Christina Weller asking that Bill Mouflouze be added to her membership and the membership be changed from a single to a family membership.
