I know you referred her to our house and dock rules.  

 

Section III specifically states. No private functions on Thursdays in July
and August. It further states application and fees must be submitted two (2)
weeks prior to the event. The section continues... Monday or Thursday
private functions are not permitted.  

 

Many hours are spent developing and updating our house and dock rules. If we
don't follow our own rules why have them?

 

My recommendation - Request denied. Unless there are compelling emergency
reasons.

I’ve reconsidered also and wish to deny this request. As much as I like to accommodate requests, the only exception(s) I recall in the past have been made months in advance. And one exception leads to another especially for ‘family events’. The former Steward permitted any number of these resulting in the changes in the rental policy & form.

I agree with Wes. We have rules and we don’t know what the event is or how many people. 
She can certainly have a small group for a birthday lunch, however, we can all be there as well. 
I vote no.
