In an effort to make the "Induction of New Members" as easy as possible and to get an idea of how the event will unfold, I have prepared a drawing to remind us of where we will be during the Induction ceremony. cid:image001.png at 01D777D4.2B768A40 Whitney T Weller 4 Tamarind Lane, Exeter, NH 03833 wtweller at comcast.net (m) +1 (603) 205 5795 -----Original Message----- From: Frieda Kat [mailto:frieda.kat5 at gmail.com] Sent: Saturday, July 10, 2021 2:38 PM To: Whitney Weller; Christina Weller Subject: New members who've signed up Names so far: so we can see who we don't have 2-Tim and Donna MacDonald 2-Toby and Nancy Clarke 2-Grant and Darlene coming 2-Sam and Jane page 2-David and Nancy McDonald 2-Kristen McCormack (bringing a guest I assume) 2-Kathy Hollister an Michael Danielski 2-Dick Horan and Linda Monica 2-DJ and Glen Blouin 2-Bill and Shellie Driscoll 2-James and Claudia Wilbur 2-Tim and Cheryl Mardin 2-Tom and Patience Chamberlin 2-Paul and Donna Urbanek Thanks Frieda Kat | PYC Steward ph: 508-982-6332 Portsmouth Yacht Club 76 Piscataqua Street New Castle, NH. 03854 -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... As I indicated, an operations manager is utilized at both Camden and Arundle (Kennebunkport). Boothbay Harbor uses a management company (Club Management Association of America) taking direction from the Commodore and BOD. They operate a significantly larger organization than PYC however. Camden has a full time club operations manager (12 months), and after several conversations with her it was clear that their structure worked very well for them. I don't know her position's salary, but I did have many discussions regarding their club operations (impressive). Ms. Eileen Foden (retired this year following 22 years) was their ops manager (she's listed as "secretary" on my project plan). If we wanted to pursue a Q&A with her, it's possible that I could locate her for a conference call (if the board had some specific questions for discussion). This is just a thought, I'll wait for board input before taking any action. She ran everything from the the parking lot to all internal & waterfront activities. I've attached my entire project package including the multi-faceted spreadsheet, and each of the documents submitted by me two years ago. Note things like steward duties, commodore description (Arundle), by-laws, and offerings by each of these clubs. I'm thinking that we should give serious consideration to a club manager.
