Subject: [Board] Sad News: Passing of Ann Mowers

Dear PYC BOD;

 

I don't have many details, Elaine Syracusa informed us that Ann passed away
at 9:00 AM today.   She had been in and out of the hospital since December.
Her son is making the arrangements for her memorial service and will let us
know through channels about them.

 

Very sad news, Ann was a cheerful and pleasant presence at the club, leading
us all through her good example.  She will be missed.

 

I will keep you posted as details become known.

I have known and enjoyed Ann’s joyful personality since her son, Dave, was a junior in high school and I was his English teacher. This is a tragic loss to PYC and to the town of Rye. Thank you for sharing.

This is very sad news. Ann was the best of people and I will miss her smiling face and positive attitude around PYC.
