Good news is we have a little more parking. David McArdle attended the Selectmen's meeting on Monday night and the details below are the contents of their conditions and are approved by NC Chief of Police White. The bad news is there are still members not wearing masks. Below is the draft of the member letter for the end of next week. As always, please point out errors and make suggestions. If you have something to add, please send me the text and I will include it. Also, if you have an agenda item for next week, please let me know. As always, please let me know that you approve this so it can go out in a timely manner and I can let Frieda know the details. Thank you for all your contributions. I appreciate the support. Pat June 5, 2020 Dear Members, Only two updates this week regarding masks and parking. Masks: Unfortunately, the number of members who are not wearing masks when on PYC property is eroding the BOD's confidence that we can safely reopen additional functions of the Club. There have been any number of complaints and reports of non-compliance. Please wear a mask and we will do our best to get the Club as open and functional as soon as possible. Parking: Please read carefully. We are one step closer to having the Club available to more members thanks to the following understanding between local officials and resident BOD member David McArdle regarding parking. Under the strict conditions outlined below, the parking restrictions near the Club have been eased. I can not stress enough that the following directions MUST be followed or cars will be ticketed. As of June 2nd, parking on Piscataqua Street from PYC property along the white fence only, and no further, will be allowed. Members are not allowed to park anywhere else or they will be fined. All other parking on New Castle is closed to non-residents. A PYC sticker must be displayed on the drivers side back window. If there is no sticker or the sticker is not visible in the proper location the car will be fined. Police will not look all over the car for proper placement of sticker. If you need a sticker, please call, email, or see Frieda. Staff is not authorized to dispense parking stickers. No verbal excuses will be accepted by the police officer. Overnight parking is NOT allowed. Parking is to be utilized for access to PYC only. One car per member is strongly suggested. Just like in past years, we'll share the parking along Piscataqua Street with contractors, landscapers and residents. In advance, thank you for your compliance with these new rules and your patience as we work through the next phase of operations. My best to each of you, Pat Dowey Commodore -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... I agree withMaggie Fogel’s comment on a more forceful message to the members regarding the masks. Thanks.
