It seems to me that Steve is mistaken about allowing guests to use the dock and launch. The section of the minutes is below. Let me know if this is not correct. Launch – Scheduling the launch in advance by members had been suggested. It was decided that advance notice by members to schedule the launch is not practical for members. The launch service will remain on a “first come, first served” basis. If this presents a problem, adjustment can be made later. Guests will be allowed on the launch. Masks will be required for staff, members, and their guests on the launch. If guests can use the launch, then they could possibly use the passage to the dock to board members' boats. I’m assuming no parking on Piscataqua Street will continue, therefore a guest(s) driving separately will have difficulty parking in NC. I think we should reassess the situation at the next board meeting on June 11th. Do we have a portable point of sale device (square) that can be taken to the fuel customer vs. the customer coming up to the dock house? I recall the discussion about guests using the launch being most directly in response to Jeremy’s concern about solo boaters catching a mooring. The ‘guest’ question was discussed in terms of household members only on the launch & reducing the number on the launch, non-resident parking, stay at home order, no guests using bathrooms, etc. The exception was allowing Frieda to make decisions regarding business that could not be done remotely, ie like Dan’s request this morning. Of course, we could not anticipate all the possible situations and individual needs of everyone and no one wants to be the “COVID police.” Would you like to hold a meeting before June 11 to clarify this and other ‘exceptions’ Frieda and the Flags are addressing daily?
