Dear KPYC members,

 

I hope you are well and looking forward the upcoming boating season.  The board of directors met this week and I wanted to give you an update.

First, we have decided to cancel Docks In Day which had been scheduled for this coming Saturday, May 9th.  Instead, we are asking members to show up individually at the club and look on the bulletin board for a list of tasks that need to be completed.  If we each put in an hour’s worth of work, we’ll have the club looking great in no time.  For any specific concerns, please contact John Gonzalo, house chair, at jtgjohn at gmail.com <mailto:jtgjohn at gmail.com> .

 

Regarding use of KPYC, we are continuing to discourage use of the clubhouse, however use of the bathrooms is permitted.  The kitchen is closed until further notice.  Members are permitted to use the deck allowing for social distancing of at least six feet.  The dock is open and the wooden floats will be installed and ready for dinghies by next week.  We will be starting launch service Memorial Day weekend beginning Friday May 22nd at 4:00 PM.  No more than four members will be allowed to use the launch at a time (except for families) and masks must be worn while on the launch.  

 

We are also continuing to restrict use of the launch and the club to members only.  We are anticipating relaxing these restrictions once we’re given more guidance from the governor’s office, hopefully in June.
