Peter –

Actually, the number that caught my eye was the corresponding number on the Form 990T Part II Line 15 which shows salaries related to fuel sales of $26,484. In 2018 with much lower fuel sales that line was $27,726. (The number on the 990 you pointed out plus the number on the 990T add up to total payroll.) I sent a note to the auditor suggesting that the amount on the 990 be about $9000 less and the number on the 990T be about $9000 more. I figure about $8000 of the $17000 increase in payroll from 2018 to 2019 was due to Jerry and he had no bearing on fuel sales. Increasing the salaries on the 990T also reduces our taxes.

Dear BOD members,

Given the extension of the Governor’s stay home order today until May 31st, and after talking to VC Dave Kenepp & Frieda, it seems prudent to cancel the May events at this time. ( New Member Orientation, Opening Dinner Dance, Chinese Dinner, Memorial Day Breakfast).

In light of these cancellations, and stay-home order, it also makes sense to keep the Clubhouse closed through May.  It will give us some time to established a safe protocol for use of the common areas; cleaning, distancing, use of masks, etc.

When the docks open, perhaps we need to think about a portable toilet option other than the Clubhouse? Any thoughts on this?

Please let me know if you agree with the proposals below and  I will get a message out to the membership. 
1. Cancel all May events.
2. Keep the Clubhouse, decks, bathrooms, bar and kitchen closed until further notice.

Pat,
   I'm wondering if the statement to the membership:  Clubhouse, decks, bathrooms, bar and kitchen closed until further notice" could be taken by the membership to mean that we're completely closed for business UFN.
  Should a clarification (to the boaters) be included such as "the docks shall be accessible by the side walkway even though the clubhouse, building, and decks will remain closed.  Boaters (like us) are out using our boats in the nice weather, and may want to utilize their new pier.
