There will only be a few members involved, ‘by invitation only’. Wes or Art will be sending out the invitations and job assignments. No spectators, no congregating, no extra parking please! I will send a notice to all members with this information. Much appreciation to Art & Wes & Mike Coffey for making this happen! In other news, the contract for annual mooring maintenance by Pepperrell Cove is in place. Hope this finds you all well. I would like to get this out to Chris later today if possible. Let me know your thoughts if you would like anything changed. Thanks, Pat Chris, Below is a notice to the membership regarding Docks In cancelled for tomorrow and info on how we are proceeding. Wes and Art do not want a date certain to go out yet although a tentative one has been selected. Thanks! Pat Dear Members, As you may know, Docks In scheduled for April 25 Is cancelled. This has been a difficult decisions for the BOD given PYC’s traditions and practices as a social club and the extra cost involved. However, we have listened to the membership and understand the first priority is to get the docks in. Therefore, a plan that anticipates as many reasonable ‘what if’ questions as possible (and still gets the floats in place as soon as possible) Is ready to execute. Our appreciation goes out to R/C Art Dionne, Wes Smith, and P/C Mike Coffey for putting together all the details to make this happen. In early May, when the tides and weather are right, contracts and communication are in place for a crew from Prock and a crane operator to do most of the work. Town officials are on board to facilitate the job. There will be a few members involved ‘by invitation only’. You will be contacted individually if your help is needed. Please... no spectators, no extra hands, no congregating, no parking, no pot luck, no work party. The Clubhouse (deck seating area, bathrooms, kitchen) will stay closed until further notice. Thank you in advance for your ideas, concerns and cooperation! There will be additional updates as plans emerge for Club operations. In other news, the contract for annual mooring maintenance by Pepperrell Cove is in place. I hope this finds you all well and adjusting to life as none of us has ever known it. My only question (comment) would be with regard to boaters that will be trigger-happy looking for instant answers as to how soon they can get to their boats (after the docks are "in"). Is it appropriate to propose a guess? All they know right now is that everything is closed until further notice. It may be fine for you to leave this alone, as you have already stated that " There will be additional updates as plans emerge for Club operations."
