[Board] Another pier option: Floating docks?

Today I had a member throw out the idea of replacing the pier with floating docks. It could be a lot less expensive both now and in the future when they need to be replaced. My guess is they would stay in the water year round. Basically the setup the Wentworth Marina has. Put the dockhouse and a gathering place on the dock to replicate what we have on the pier. One draw back is it would be moving all the time with the boat wakes, something the Wentworth doesn't have to deal with, but it might be something to consider to see how much the cost might be.

Or put a short pier in and the rest are docks.

I told the member I'd let the board know of the idea.
