Subject: [Board] Cancellation of the Dec 19th Meeting

Good Evening,

In light of the various emails and Art possibly not being available. I recommend canceling the December 19th special meeting and reschedule for the week of January 14, 2019.

Laurie / Pat please cancel the December 19th room reservation and determine what dates are available for the week of January 14th for the large meeting room.

Q & A for Web Site: Begin writing your questions focused on the pier. Please have them to me on or before December 26th.

Fuel Lines: At the meeting we began discussion of the fuel lines. I need some direction – without a lot of debate. The fuel tank according to DES records is 24 years old. I assume the fuel lines are the same vintage. (Mike Coffee – Please check with Ki if he knows the age of the existing Gas and Diesel lines)

Questions for the board:

1. Should we consider a larger fuel line for Diesel?

I think we should, it could be something we might regret not doing 10 years for now, other marinas have high speed and any boats with hundreds of gallons would appreciate it

2. Should we consider the in-kind piping replacement of the existing fuel lines approximate $20K?

I think you said the $20K only cover the pier side and not the landside? Will the town/state allow us to only do a partial replacement?

3. Should we consider the in-kind piping replacement of the existing fuel lines with larger piping approximate $40K, does not include pump?

If we upsize the lines will we be able to do dual speed or would we need a separate slow speed line (and more costs)?

4. Should we consider not making any changes for six (6) years when the tank has to be addressed?

Interesting option, wait until we replace the tanks... Any idea how much the tank replacement might be?

When rebuilding the pier, the fuel lines can be removed and attach to a couple of temporary pilings – Cost approximate $5K.

I need your reply to add the fuel line input into the bid package. Please respond on or before December 19th

Thanks,

Wes
