[Board] Special Meeting

I’m curious as to why people think we will be out of business for 2019 if we don’t get the pier replaced before the season opens? From my understanding of the report it says they recommend we completely replace the pier for number of reasons but I didn’t get there was any recommendation that it needs to be replaced immediately and should no longer be used.

Were there some conversations with the engineer that indicated the pier should be condemned and no longer used? Another thing to consider is that we won’t find an available contractor to install the pier before docks in. There seems to be a lot of questions to be answered before a special meeting and having all these discussions via email is really not the proper way to do it.

I know that Roy has made some great points (thank you Roy) concerning the house etc., but the focus at the moment is the pier. We need to do this so that we are in business for next season...the permits are an issue, but the bigger issue is to get this done or we are out of the dock rental and fuel business in 2019. The house and other stuff we can get to later.
