Hi All,

 

I don’t know if it’s  Politically Correct  or  has been done in the past or if we would do anything like this? 

 

Open the gift giving for Jerry to the entire club,  suggest $20.00 + per member for a cash purse that  Jerry can spend as he wants.   The minimum amount Jerry will receive is $2,000 as suggested by Doyle, as a bonus..  Any dollars  received over $2,000 would eliminate taking  any money from the club funds.  If donations fall short of the $2K  the club makes up the difference. 

 

This would eliminate  criticisms pertaining to a lavish gift.

 

FYI – I just  made an emergency expender of $8,414.42 to reset the three pilings  at the West end of the facing dock.

Good Morning,

 

Many members have approached me asking that we do something more for the retirement of Jerry.  Having both he and his wife at an event, possibly providing them a cruise, in other words, something with a little more class than what we did at the employee appreciation night.  Please give this some thought as many feel that we should do a little more for Jerry to acknowledge his years of service to the club.
