Hi All,
I understand the thinking toward fiscal responsibility (I'm definitely in
that camp most days!), particularly right before putting a dues increase
before the membership. I do think it's important to look at this not
strictly from a budgetary line item cost as much as a unique circumstance
to show appreciation for someone who has put in a decade of service to the
club, particularly if there is support among the membership.
In my mind it would definitely be worth a discussion of exactly what that
means - I don't think its a luxury trip around the world, nor do i think
its a dinner out in Portsmouth, but it's definitely somewhere in between.
Jerry has done a tremendous amount for the club in the last decade and I am
supportive of a significant gesture to show him how much he meant (and
means) to PYC and its members.
