This is a thorny request! Setting aside the fact that the Member's son is not a member, we need to know at least the following:
                                     1. Does the Member's son have a NH Boating Education Certificate or equivalent?
                                     2. Is the Member's son listed as an operator on the Member's Boat Insurance Policy?
If the answer to either of these two questions is "No", our answer to the request should be "No". If the answer to each question is "Yes", we can then decide if we want to permit non-members (as distinguished from potential Members on the waiting list who are permitted to use our Launch service for a fee) to use Member's boats berthed in our slips.

I'm in agreement with what I sense to be the feeling of the previous emails
on this topic.  While I do feel for the situation, this would set a bad
precedent moving forward and I don’t see how a decision like this could be
justified. I am of the belief that we can’t make an exception for a
non-member to use the club and/or docks for the summer for a fee,
regardless of the situation.

I agree with all that has been said but I do feel that the fact is he is just getting to his dads boat and not using the club otherwise.  Do they have a dinghy?  Can he get himself to the boat via his own dinghy?  
Just putting myself in this situation (hypothetically) and wondering how I would view it.

I agree with all that has been said but I do feel that the fact is he is just getting to his dads boat and not using the club otherwise.  Do they have a dinghy?  Can he get himself to the boat via his own dinghy?  
Just putting myself in this situation (hypothetically) and wondering how I would view it.
