What is the next step? Maybe send out an email and post a notice at the club? Roy Sent from Outlook ________________________________ From: Board on behalf of Glenn Michael Sent: Friday, June 16, 2017 12:50 AM To: Board of Directors Subject: [Board-2017] Table Reservations Good Evening, This issue appears every few years. At the Wed night dinner on June 14, the issue of reserving table seats reared its ugly head. I needed two glasses of gin for this episode of "who can get there first". About 8 years ago (do not quote me on this), when I was on the board, we adopted a policy of "no table reservations until 1200 on the day of the event". This is contained in the House and Dock rules on page 59. It appears to have gone by the wayside and now people are putting stuff on the tables one, even two days before a dinner. In addition, they are calling Jerry to reserve seats. Jerry is not the Maitre 'd of the club for table reservations, and members should be following the rules. Please think about this and be prepared at the next meeting to provide input. I do not want to start a war over this issue, but we need to control it.
