Whit had a single membership and was not married.  So, there is no

family member who was a member "with him".  He did have children,

but they would have to apply either regularly or as a reinstatement

About Barbara Franzoso's application.  Since there was a question

from the Board about whether she would be a reinstatement, I went

ahead and gave Whit's membership to other applicants, Drs. Sherman.

from 7 BOD members who said VERY RELUCTANTLY that, according

to the rules, we have no choice but to offer reinstatement to Barbara.

At least I was able to offer someone else a membership in the interim.

I need to get back to Barbara with the Board's disposition.  Is it ok

now to tell her that she is at the top of the list?

Nancy, you will notice in the proposed changes to the Constitution

that I sent earlier for your review that this situation has been made

very clear and should not ever happen again.

Nancy, let me know if I should tell Barbara she is at the top of the list.

A topic in the last BOD meeting was the possible reinstatement of Barbara
Franzoso,

whose application said that she and her former husband, Walter Dunfey, were
members

of PYC in the 1970's.  As a former member, under current rules, she would be

I have asked several members if they knew the Dunfey's in the 1970's.
George Almgren

called to tell me that he did know the Dunfeys at the club. We have no way
of knowing

how they resigned, whether in "good standing" or not because many records

While I was waiting for answers relative to the Dunfey's, I offered the
membership we

have available (Whit Saidla) to the next people on the wait list, Drs.

Now, if you agree, Barbara Franzoso (formerly Barbara Dunfey) would be
offered

reinstatement and would receive the next available membership offer.
