My preliminary feelings:

Members Children Reinst. ; Automatic reinst. should be at age 26, 5 years after becoming eligible. By then in most cases, their life plan is in place;

Spouse/ Sig Others:  Should immediately replace a deceased member, if they want it.  Don’t see the need for a check box; I think both partners of a marriage/relationship should be members anyway.

Time limit for reinst.: 10 years, no sponsors; 20 years with new sponsors.

So, where are a lot people not available Tuesday night, is it worth trying to get boards opinion's, via emails, on the various reinstatement issues and see how close  or far apart we all are? So basically setup some options for the items and take a poll for how we should resolve them to help move this along? A few of us are going to gone the first 2-3 weeks in August too.

 

For example: 

Members Children reinstatement: Should there be a time limit? If so what should it be: Age 26 which is 5 years after they turn 21 or 10 years after 21 or leave as is with no limit or something else? 

 

Spouses/Significant Others of deceased member: Do they immediately replace the deceased member on the membership, if they want it? Do we need to add a check box on the application form to indicate who the primary member is?

 

Reinstatements: Should there be a time limit? Is so how long? Do they need sponsors? Maybe they need sponsors after a 5 or 10 year lapse?  

Do we limit reinstatements? If so how many reinstatements do we want to allow in a year?

 

So something like the above as an agenda with suggestions? We can collect the info from the BOD for the next 5 days or so and tally the results and send them out?

Well it appears it is race night....but Joe can come Tuesday and you all wanted it this week and Joe is leaving the country.  Who can make it as I believe this is pretty important or I can let Joe know we do not need him
