Hi Nanc:

Right now it looks like I won't be able to attend the meeting. I have not
had a chance to read your submittal on our insurance coverage, but I'd like
it not to be a forgotten agenda item once I've gone over it, and once I can
discuss it at a future meeting.

  Also, you know how I feel about the current absurdly low initiation fee;
it should be a four-figure number, to assure that people wanting to join the
club truly have an interest in the club, and not join because it's a bargain
for social outlet and/or a slip. An increase of such could help pay for any
increase in insurance coverage that is later decided, and quite possibly
shorten our wait list.

I know there is a lot to discuss at the meeting, but I think we have to
bring up allowing, and assigning a date and other particulars for Jerry's
daughter's bridal shower at the club. I think it is very important that we
give this due and deserved consideration.

Hi everyone,

Please take a minute to look over the agenda and put some thought into all
the items on it.  There have been a lot of emails sent since Carole sent out
the possible changes to the Constitution ideas - there was the ones from Ron
and Doyle about raising initiation dues - and the ones concerning returning
members.  Please reread them and come with a lot of ideas and concerns that
you might have to trying to change anything.  Joe Nadeau has offered to work
on these changes with us and has also suggested that we have an open meeting
in early September offering the membership to have input before we present
anything in its final manner at the annual meeting.

 

If you had any additions to the agenda please let me know and I will add
them.  Also, please let me know if you will be NOT attending Thursdays
meeting.
