Also, it was beyond just being rude to the staff… there was underage alcohol involved if I recall correctly.

Hello Board members - please excuse my butting in -

When Art Dionne was Commodore, we had a member who mistreated statt. He also was in a verbal altercation with another member in the parking lot.

The Board agreed to terminate this person's membership and sent a certified letter to him. The end. There was no vote at an annual meeting. I'm not

sure it is always required.

Carole

I suggest that we all re-read Section III of the constitution. The BOD has the power to suspend a member pending the Annual meeting where the club votes on expulsion and there must be a 2/3 majority. Please read this section carefully, there must be public charges brought in writing and the member has a right to defend himself.

The last time this happened it was ugly.

With all due respect I feel we should not set precedents with fines , probation, etc. We should follow the constitution and terminate the member. Thanks. Glenn

What about a significant fine (say $5000) and probation.

This is inexcusable behavior. This person should reimburse the club for damages and the liquor and be immediately terminated. Glenn

Good evening,

Before I get into this email I want to stress it is for your eyes only at this moment. This morning there was a broken window in the kitchen door. Question was how did that happen, but the morning progressed. Jerry went to the security footage and looked to see what happened and discovered that this was a break in with a lot of footage of the person that broke the window. We have around 5 or more minutes of excellent footage of our visitor walking in and out of the kitchen with excellent facial recognition along with the car in our parking lot. This person opened the refrigerator walked around broke into the liquor cabinet – stole liquor purchased for the Kentucky Derby Party on Saturday and then left.

Here is the predicament – this was a very inebriated member of the club. The police were contacted – this is misdemeanor theft, not a felony as all members of our club are allowed to enter the premise at any time with a key. We need to know if we want to prosecute – do we want the police to attain a search warrant (one bottle of liquor was found at the bottom of the members driveway partly empty) – do we want the police to just talk to this person …and the options go on and on. If the police go to the house and talk to this person they will never be allowed to be anywhere near our property as part of their probation.

Our property has been violated – glass was broken - stuff was stolen – this was a member and their membership should be revoked.

PLEASE SHARE YOU THOUGHTS with me as I need to converse with Officer Gaban during the day tomorrow.

Nanc

(BY THE WAY – THE POLICE TOLD ME THIS IS THE BEST SECURITY SYSTEM THEY HAVE SEEN AND THAT ALL THE FOOTAGE WAS PERFECT)
