[Board] FW: Mooring Float Information

Absolutely. I think we should order a 36” one right away. If it doesn’t work, we can always use it somewhere else. The beauty of these is that the chain comes through the top of the float, so there’s little chance that the pennant will get cut by a prop. It rests in the buoy when it’s not in use (and remains free of growth) and it has a place for a pickup buoy. I think we should put a plan in place to replace all the mooring buoys with these, particularly in Pepperell cove. The town has painted their buoys green, so we need a clear way to differentiate ours from theirs. I also think it’s time to replace the blue barrels at the Isles with ones which are more clearly marked “MEMBERS ONLY”

They’re a bit pricey so maybe we need to replace them over the next couple of years.

I have all this information. The thought is we see if we can get one to test -put it in for an astronomical tide in front of the club and see what happens.

What are all your thoughts. Paul can follow up.

This is what we need for mooring buoys - the 36" version. Paul Roy has
spoken to them. We should try one on the outer mooring. This would
allow for the chain to come up through and a double pennant.

Mr. Roy,

Thank you for your interest in our mooring floats. As requested, I've
attached some information to this e-mail in PDF format for your review.

All of our mooring floats come with the non-marring fender deck ring and
have a twelve-year warranty for net buoyancy and color.

If you have any questions or if I can be of any further assistance, please
do not hesitate to contact me.

Respectfully,
