The Historic District meets May 7th and we found out that our deadline is today, so we’ve filed the proper paperwork. I think that doing this the proper way is the only option since it’s visible from the street. This adds an additional $500 in fees and costs to the project. We have a building permit for the doors and the tile. We are scheduled for a meeting with the historic commission on May 7th. The new door is in, but we can’t put it in until we get permission. All things being done legally.
