This warming trend bodes well for the start of the season. The work parties mark the start of the season before us and were very successful. The participants were the first in decades to experience ice covered areas on the concrete areas of the club. I am sure they feel quite privileged to have been chopping away at ice in order to open the club for the season. Clearly an opportunity that will make the summer seem even better than usual. Participation was outstanding. Although the club is not completely ready for summer traffic, it is very close. Many thanks to all of you who participated including new members and members in waiting. I am sure this level of participation will continue at "Docks In" held on April 12th. We still have some things to do before opening the club for the summer such as replacing some of the pilings and installing and turning on the water and electric services to the docks. It will be completed shortly. A decision has been made to not make any major modification to the porch this year but we will be changing the screens to make them more robust to the weather. Just think Spring, summer and warm weather!
