There has been talk that we should not stack the new main docks as high as we have with the old docks, if that is the case we could use the extra space for dock storage. What does Great Bay charge for hauling the launch when they do maintenance? If the economics make sense we should consider it. With that in mind Steve Jefferson found a suitable machine on Craig's List in Berwick. Aluminum, dual axle, brakes etc. The trailer can be viewed by typing in: nh.craigslist.org/boa/2636585957.html Asking $2850.00 -maybe $2500.00 ?? For your consideration! Ref. Great Bay I was using them as my “whipping boy”. We do not have a contract with them. In the past Steve or someone has run the boat up there or they have come to Club parking lot etc. this was more germane when we had the Honda engine (they are Honda dealers). I just spoke with Steve he told me that Great Bay charged $150.00 for “quick haul” plus labor.. Obviously any work on the launch when we can deliver trailer born whether it be Yamaha or Eastern Boats would be more convenient & less costly. At present Eastern is poised to retrieve the launch for damage repair. This cost to be covered by the “other guys” insurance, around $200.00. As for storage etc. there has been one selectman in New Castle who has been somewhat anti PYC and refused Common storage using the “No commercial boats” argument, he is no longer a selectman and we aren’t commercial and PAY TAXES! Steve Jefferson now suggest this as a viable option and will explore. As for liability, we would still be insured. Also Bill Rushforth says he has room for summer trailer storage. Andy, good point on space, we would be a bit more flexible with one launch elsewhere. Either Steve or I will check and see if the this trailer is still there and try to get a sense of bottom line. Letting the seller finger cash in hand often is an advantage! Are they the only yard that we have looked into? What would our liability be if we stored the boat at the Town Commons?
