I don’t disagree. But we all know who the R/C is & also chair of House & docks!

I agree.  Spare Time was on a mooring at Kingman Marine in Buzzards Bay, they had double pennants and never had a boat break away, Kingman has about 150 moorings. They also had sections of fire hose on the launch so owners could add chafe gear to the pennants. At Point Independance Yacht Club in Onset there were only single pennants and they had two boats go on the beach.

Subject: [Board] Moorings

Dear Board members,

 

    I would like to propose that we change all of our moorings to double
pennants.   I recently spent the  tropical storm on  one of our moorings and
felt that double pennants would have been better.  The dock staff also
mentioned that many of the boats on our moorings do not swing correctly with
a single pennant.   

 

   I know this is a House and Docks issue, but thought that we should ask
them to add second pennants to all of our moorings.
